What would a festival be without the next DJ on the Dreamstate line up, Orjan Nilsen. This man has certainly earned his place among the top trance DJ’s in the world and love him or hate him, he is a force to be reckoned with. His range of trance styles run from classic to mainstream and he knows exactly how to piece together a set to please everyone’s musical pallet. In addition, Orjan Nilsen has one of the most electrifying stage presence of any DJ in the game. Music flows through his blood and he isn’t afraid to show his excitement through crowd interaction and dancing behind the decks, Orjan Nilsen style.
Born in Kirkenes, Norway, Orjan grew up wanting nothing more than to fill his life with music. At a young age he was captivated by the trance genre and made it his life goal to become a successful trance producer/DJ. And this dream would be realized in 2006 when he released his track “Red Woods”, on Armada Music under his DJ Governor alias. In 2011, Orjan released his first artist album titled ” In My Opinion” and secured his spot as a producer to pay attention to. In 2011, Orjan released killer tracks like “Viking” and “Achoo” and continued gaining fame in 2012 from his tracks “Belter”, “Amsterdam”, Endymion”, “Copperfield”, and “Filthy Fandango”. But this was only the beginning. In fact, 2013 would be the year that would change his life forever. It was during this year that he released his most famous track, “No Saint Out Of Me”. Even today, when he drops that track during his set, the crowd goes absolutely insane!
Throughout his career Orjan Nilsen has become a staple on A State of Trance. His relationship with Armada is one that is strong and consistent. And his partnership with Armada has allowed him to work with top DJ’s like Armin Van Buuren and Cosmic Gate. Through his career he has designed and created the ability to release music that satisfies both the hardcore trance addict and the mainstream EDM fan.
