Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2015 || What To Bring!

So you’ve got your tickets for Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, you’ve got your ride, and you are either planning out your trip solo or you’ve got your squad ready to go. You are neck deep into the festivities, and then you feel a harsh chill as the sun goes down and you walk away from the crowd. You didn’t wear a jacket because you figured it was hot, you had to spend an extra 30$ to take money out of the ATM. We’ve all been there, so I’m here to help you on how to gear yourself for the best experience possible at Camp Flog Gnaw.

If you want to fit in with the demographic, bring in your colorful high knee socks, some colorful vans or chucks, some shorts, a golf t-shirt and snap back to protect your head from the heat. If you don’t care about fitting in, wear a variation of the above outfit. Just be sure to slap on a sweater or something warm as it’s to be pretty chilly after the sun goes down. Be sure to have cash on hand, I usually take around $100 for food and any merchandise I might want to buy. Being that this is a carnival, I would suggest holding off on buying merchandise and instead have fun playing the games, if you win most of the prizes are the same merchandise that you can buy at the booths. Most importantly bring in a good vibe and smile for your fellow carnival goers, and some ear plugs for when the music gets on and bumping!

Here is a full list of what I suggest you bring with you:

  • Festival Ticket – Duh. You’ll need this to get in.
  • Identification Card – Another obvious necessity. You should definitely carry this with you.
  • Earplugs – Suggested so that you don’t lose your hearing.
  • Comfy Shoes – You’ll be on your feet vibing and dancing with the crowd.
  • Cash – You never know when the credit card system is going to go down and also if you ever water from the guys who bravely navigate the crowd you need cash. I suggest $100 average!
  • Hat – Keep your head out of the sun. I’d definitely suggest wearing a hat!
  • Sealed Gum – Gotta have fresh breath yo!
  • Lighter – Lighters are not only useful, but a great icebreaker at any festival.
  • Bandana – Dust is not your friend trust me.
  • Positive Attitude – Leave the negativity at the door, come to the festival with a positive outlook and carefree demeanor.
