Panorama NYC 2017 || Introducing The Point!

`
Oh, you will most definitely get “The Point” at Panorama NYC this year!

This year has become one in which festivals are pulling out all their production guns and firing! It is not enough just to have stages with musicians on them; festival goers are craving more! We are seeing a trend where festivals are adding fully interactive experiences, stage set ups, and even full interactive towns built just for the festivals. We will see the return of  The Grand Artique at Lightning in a Bottle Festival, a western weigh station of sorts fully equipped with saloons and hotels. Festivals in the southeast like Okeechobee Music Festival and Suwannee’s Hulaween fully immerse festival goers in areas they dedicate to the immersive side of reality like Aquachobee and Spirit Lake. The critically acclaimed Panorama NYC will continue that trend, molding together the interactive world with music, bringing us The Point.

The Point, Which they are calling an immersive blend of music, technology, and art is set to stun us with an amazing lineup of its own within the festival too. The festival already features performances from Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Tame Impala, A Tribe Called Quest, alt-J, Solange, Justice, Nick Murphy, MGMT and more. This announcement has us reeling with excitement though. I am personally excited most for the beautiful Honey Dijon, who just graced SXSW with an impeccable disco style throw-down that left me feeling oh so ooey and gooey. She definitely is the bee’s knees for the Bearlosophy, Bear Necessities of life. Check out her set from SXSW and get yourself ready for what is shaping up to be one of the biggest, baddest, bell-bottom pants parties the East Coast will see in 2017.

3-day and single GA and VIP passes to Panorama NYC are on sale now at HERE.

Watch the Panorama NYC 2017: Introducing The Point announcement on YouTube:

The point comes to us after 2016 overwhelming turnout and love generated for Despacio, and it was clear that the masses wanted more dance party and disco. The Point will be one big, non-stop dance party at the very center of the festival. The venue set aside for experience will be an open-air club with a shaded and misted dance floor (there better be a disco ball and platform shoes provided). The sets will be continuous throughout the day and night and will boast acts from local, hometown favorites m mixed in with underground, global DJ’s. The Point is set to be a dedication to New York’s evolution in DJ Culture and electronic music. Panorama is promising a LED light set up and a state-of-the-art FUNCTION ONE sound system to match the epicness of this multi-leveled endeavor! We are talking the same sound system set-ups they have in Space (Ibiza), Berghain (Berlin), and Output (New York). Check out the full line-up for the weekend by day below.

Christopher Rivera

Christopher, or Brown Bear as his Festival Family and most of his friends call him, got his humble beginnings in the dance music scene when he was a child from none other than his mother. The weekends were filled with dance music from the 80’s and 90’s like La Bouche’s “Be My Lover” and Corona’s “Rhythm of the Night”. In 2010 his friends showed him a video from Bonnaroo of Pretty Light’s “I Know the Truth” and he immediately dived on in. Since then he has attended every live music festival from Spirit of Suwannee’s, Purple Hatters Ball (Jam Bands), to Let It Roll Drum & Bass Festival in the Czech Republic. Chris has an eclectic palate for music; from Shpongle and Bassnectar to Oliver Heldens and Porter Robinson, he vibes with it all. He has traveled from coast to coast and around the world looking what he calls The Bear Necessities of Life; the simple things that make you smile, or you find visually moving. This pursuit and travels inspired Bearlosophy, his photographic journal of all his adventures. He aspires to travel the world taking photos for non-profit organizations or to work for one of the top EDM photography teams like aLIVE Coverage.
