Since the introduction of streaming sites like SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify, as well as release mediums like Bandcamp available for artists to release on, new music is hitting us faster than ever. The abundance of releases can almost be overwhelming, as the tools for production and releasing music are easily accessible for anyone around the world. We know that it is a difficult task to keep up with every release from every artist, so we’re here to assist you with some gems that “land” in our inboxes. In every edition of The Landing, we intend to highlight some tracks that you may have missed, or perhaps shine a light on new music for you to fall in love with.

Sub Focus continues to return with a third single in “Lingua”

Okay… so Sub Focus is one of those awkward but awesome producers who just opens floodgates with new music. Within the last few months, he hit the ground with two new singles: “Love Divine” & “Nobody Knows.” Now a third single has peeked above the horizon in “Lingua,” a dancehall track with Jamaican influences and a Drum & Bass foundation. Rapping on top of the exquisitely produced tune is Stylo G, last known by many for a collaboration with Clean Bandit on “Come Over.” “Lingua” is all that should make you dance – two step beats, strong synth presence, and that impeccable little horn stab is a true package for your ears. As Stylo G sings – “Let me kill them with the Lingua!” #CHOONALERT
Padai drops some Progressive gems on the Departed EP

Deep Progressive House always creates a beautiful mood. Padai, a Belfast, Northern Ireland producer, drops this two-track EP on 20 March, but we’ve got a sneaky peaky for you here. Track 1, “Departed,” maintains a gloomy atmosphere from the winter, but juxtaposes it with the beauty of a bouncing synth line. Airy overlays and a haunting lead round out the track to really capture and tickle the ears. On the flip is “Paper Planes,” which drives forward with a much firmer groove than “Departed.” It is not quite as gloomy, and features plenty of room to breath for all the elements. While its soft and subtle it does lack a sense of tension that may frustrate some listeners. That said, it is a solid EP and worthy of listening too.

Collaboration makes you feel good!

So, at this point, you’ve likely heard a track or two by Illenium. I know I heard his name first with his incredible Kaskade “Disarm You” remix. For “Feel Good” Nick Miller teams up with Griffin, aka Dan Griffith, and vocalist Daya. The sunny production radiate maturity from all three collaborators and is an unexpectedly strong contender for huge radio airplay over the coming months. Nothing is out-of-place, and no real chances are taken, but the track’s subtle graces really pull on the strengths of each member here. Ever feel like raining into the sun? Grab “Feel Good” and head to the shore, dive deeper into the warmth of the bass, and crash into memories that pull at your heart.

Treasure Fingers Releases New Remix Of Vanilla Ace & Cosella’s “Funk To The Brain”

Beginning the year off right, Atlanta-based producer / DJ Treasure Fingers wowed his fans with a critically acclaimed official remix for one the world’s biggest stars, Moby. To follow his remix of Moby’s “Go!”, Treasure Fingers is now ready to unveil his next dance-off inciter in the form of another official remix, this time, for Vanilla Ace and Cosella’s “Funk To The Brain”. Out now via Punks Music, the appropriately titled original single finds its place in the bass house realm thanks to a little help from Vanilla Ace and Cosella. For Treasure Finger’s rework of the track, “Funk To The Brain” goes deep with the addition of a wide-range of unique sound effects including amped up snare, cowbell, synth reverb, and lots of beefed up bass!

Since Jordan’s incredible take on Oakenfold’s Fluoro-released “Ibiza” back in 2014, it was only a matter of time before Jordan and Paul would band together in the studio. Well, the wait is over and given the pedigree of the operators involved, you probably don’t need to speak fluent trance to know that “Amnesia” is a track that stands out from the pack. A fitting follow-up to their ‘Ibiza’ work, “Amnesia” is a testament to the club that both DJs have built a relationship with and have frequented countless times. Oakenfold’s legendary production lines up seamlessly with Jordan’s peak hour tempo and psy flair. Don Diablo & Marnik get the good vibes flowing with their new anthem, “Children Of A Miracle”

Don Diablo, whose recent single “What We Started” racked up 18 million streams on Spotify, is also working on his forthcoming artist album. But for the moment it’s all about the new single, “Children of a Miracle”, which features Galantis’ singer Reece Bullimore on vocals delivering a powerful and uplifting message that reflects Don’s own rise in music:

SNBRN links up with BLU J for his latest Ultra Music release “You Got Me” feat. Cara Frew

SNBRN’s first original release of the year has landed with the help of the duo BLU J. The two acts have joined forces for “You Got Me (feat. Cara Frew)”, a heavenly yet funky deep house track out now on Ultra Music.
“You Got Me” has a divine melody with sexy and hypnotic vocal top line courtesy of Cara Frew. This is certainly a track that will be found on the playlists of many of the top artists in the scene as the 2017 festival season gets under way.

“I met Blu J about a year ago up in SF after I had been playing their “I Remember” remix out. I ended up learning Ableton after being a Logic user in like 2 weeks so we could bounce the project back and forth. After hearing Cara Frew, I knew we had our collab and 5 months later the rest is history.”
