LMNOP Releases Jump Up-Dedicated Sophomore Album, ‘PSYOP’

PSYOP is the satirical origin story of LMNOP’s puppet partner, Lil Z. It’s conspiracy theory storytelling at its finest, told through the lens of jump up.

LMNOP is the DJ duo drum and bass didn’t know it needed. Unhinged in the best way possible, DJ and producer Zach Schwartz and his puppet, Lil Z, bring a playful vibe to the decks. They combine elaborate themes of sci-fi, mythology, and conspiracy theories galore, and their blend of jump up is the perfect backdrop for the oddities. LMNOP’s sophomore album, PSYOP, out on Play Me Records, explores how Lil Z came to be, delving into the seedy underbelly of nefarious government activities.

“The Upload” is where it all started, with ominous vocals detailing Lil Z’s data transfer and laying out what’s to come. “M8” leans heavily into the chaotic energy of jump up, while “Birds Aren’t Real” features off-kilter, chirpy synths and bouncy bass. The latter brings to light that birds are really surveillance drones issued by the government. Then, “Moves Like Fire,” with Berto Antonio, is a peak-time anthem laced with hip-hop, while “Bohemian Grove” is groovy and secretive, building upon the global high-stakes theme.

The second half of the album continues its character-driven narrative. Jump up teetering on neuro, “Chemtrails” with dela Moon blends dela’s technical precision with LMNOP’s distorted bass. “Dad” and “Family?” round out the album, depicting Lil Z’s continued quest to find his family. LMNOP is coming off a banger year, and with the debut of PSYOP, 2026 is shaping up to be another explosive one.
