Jimi Jules Spreads Dancefloor Romance In CircoLoco Debut, ‘Baby Run’

Jimi Jules reveals his CircoLoco Records debut, Baby Run. It consists of three tracks, one of which is a love song.

“I wrote this love song six years ago about how I met my partner of 14 years,” shared Zurich-based artist Jimi Jules about his recent track, “Baby Run.”

Making a dance track feel like a love song, the multi-Instrumentalist and DJ has shared the cut half a decade later through his CircoLoco Records debut EP, Baby Run. The project bleeds disco, techno, electro, and Italo-house across three tracks, showcasing Jules’ ability to work in multiple genres.

Over the past decade, he has built a reputation for emotionally rich, groove-driven productions that blend analog sounds, melodies, and his own vocals. His dynamic DJ and live sets speak to a musician who is as comfortable behind a mic or bass guitar as he is behind the decks. With releases on respected labels including Innervisions, Watergate, Zukunft, and Rumpelmusic, Jules has become a must-hear presence on dancefloors.

Produced by the hands of a multi-instrumentalist, it’s no surprise that each track explores a different shade of Jules’s sound. Yet all three are anchored by a distinct musical identity.

“Turbo Rosso” helps drive the energy upward, reminding listeners that this is a dance EP. First teased in his CircoLoco Radio mix, the track channels a playful blend of electro and Italo-house, pairing drums with synths that feel sharp and infectious. Closing cut “Dreamin’” shifts into nu-disco and jazz territory. It’s built on a steady groove with echoing vocals sprinkled across the track, not to mention hypnotic guitar, saxophone, and synth lines.

Taken together, Baby Run does more than mark Jimi Jules’ debut on CircoLoco Records; it underscores his range as a producer. The release positions him comfortably between house, techno, and disco influences, reaffirming his place among artists shaping the more melodic and unconventional edge of today’s electronic music.
