Of The Trees Excites the Masses with First Release of the Year, “Dolori”

Of The Trees breaks the radio silence with his initial track of 2026, “Dolori,” piquing interest at an all-time high point in his career.

It’s been around two years since Of The Trees‘ last solo release, so fans were overjoyed when he started posting teasers for new music. The first hint was a website filled with summer camp whimsy, featuring a calendar listing release dates for two singles and his upcoming album, Moonglade Park. The scene celebrated as a dawn of new Of The Trees music seemed to be nearing the horizon.

The rollout has started with an astounding gasp as “Dolori” has made her way to the light via his Memory Palace imprint. An album’s lead single must make a grand entrance, and that she did.

Two days before the official release of the track, Of The Trees held a “Moonglade Park Movie Night” to premiere the “Dolori” music video. To call it a masterpiece would be the understatement of the year. Vivid landscapes and mesmerizing dancing whisk you away and leave you forever changed. With a song so beautiful, it would be a disservice not to portray perfection in motion.

As for the track itself, “Dolori” it comes in gently, with a slight static crackle overlaid on bird chirping. Subtle lyrics saying, “I think you should go down,” and “I know I can love you,” echo in the distance as maracas pick up the pace, bringing us into a wonderful song and dance, with frequencies and words playfully intertwining. Goosebumps take over your body throughout the song’s entire runtime, leaving you yearning to feel its embrace once more.

It feels like a new era of Of The Trees is emerging from his release hiatus. If “Dolori” is any indication, I believe it will be more than worth the wait.
