Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi Records unveils its first-ever VA to cap off the year, featuring Aitor Astiz, Joey London Style, Marco Tropeano, Ammo Avenue, and more.

Legendary DJ and producer Joseph Capriati‘s technical mastery, expert taste for good music, and ability to read a room are evident not only in his track selections or marathon sets, but also in his work as the label head of Metamorfosi Records. In less than a year, the imprint has become one of the most highly regarded collectives in electronic music, and its latest drop shows why. Metamorfosi’s first various artist compilation, The Various – Volume 1, is a focused collection of high-impact tracks that steer away from hype and hone in on raw quality instead.

The label’s focus has been evident from the start. From Capriati’s long-awaited debut collaboration with Dennis Cruz on “No Sleep” to hot EPs from talent like Murphy’s Law and FLOWFAT, Metamorfosi has quickly shown its confidence as a label that’s here to stay.

The VA, which was unveiled today, wastes no time and hits hard out of the gate. Aitor Astiz and Joey London Style’s “Cupcake” and Marco Tropeano’s “Goes Without Saying” bring immediate energy with tension and release built for peak moments.

Ammo Avenue brings weight to the compilation with “Rock It Down.” Similarly to Kidoo’s “Luuna,” the track ventures into darker, more hypnotic territory designed for audiences to close their eyes and surrender to the music in the late hours. Elbio & Denis’ “Power Bank” and Horo’s “Paradise” balance that mood with dynamic grooves and sounds.

What really stands out in the project, though, is its backbone. Rolling rhythms in Francesco Squillante’s “You Killed Us,” Harvy Valencia’s “CAPRII,” Joe Vanditti’s “Be Myself,” and Vanee’s “Dos Mujeres En Mi Vida” featuring Teo Galindez lean heavily into percussion and demand movement.

The contrasts and balances throughout The Various – Volume 1 feel intentional, and they are. The label’s authenticity and integrity, in tandem with Joseph’s own highly admired creative direction, offer a perfect foundation for standout features from a variety of dynamic artists. Each contributes deeply authentic sounds that have been masterfully them to fit the project.
