Kick & Bass Records has emerged as a home for new music in the scene, driven by the vibrant community that has grown immensely since the artist development platform started in 2021.
Westend is one of the hottest artists in the house scene today, but there’s more than meets the eye for those who have followed him closely. While he’s continued to flex his skills as a DJ and producer over the years, he’s also looked to help others on their paths. In 2021, he, along with Freddy Trier Christensen, created Kick & Bass, a Discord-based online community that offered real-time feedback, tutorials, and more for aspiring producers. Since then, this educational platform has seen plenty of success, and they’ve entered the next level of expansion with the debut of Kick & Bass Records, a label driven by that community.
Kick & Bass Records is a natural evolution for the growing hub, which has surpassed over 600 members who have championed various styles of house music. The label answers the question of where artists who have joined their ecosystem can release music, creating a 360° experience for artists looking to make their mark on the scene. “No one’s really done this before,” said Westend. “There are lots of labels, but there’s nothing that combines education, community, mentorship, and a release platform like this.”
Artists won’t be on their own when releasing music on Kick & Bass Records, either. Aside from the continued support from the growing community, the label is also backed by CIRCA, an independent marketing agency that offers distribution and bespoke marketing and promotion services via co-brand.
Not everyone we sign will have a big profile or long touring history. But the community lifts each other up. That’s what makes Kick & Bass special.

As for release plans, Kick & Bass Records intends to drop monthly singles as it scales up to highlight the best of the community without overly restricting which genres are showcased. The rollout has already begun with the label’s debut release from ALP, “Raw,” which is a tech house heater that’s sure to win you over. Other artists who will grace Kick & Bass Records with releases in the near future include June Wilder and Gotch.
Give “Raw” a spin on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from Kick & Bass Records by following their social media channels.
