Subtronics delivers the finishing blow on Fibonacci by dropping off the second half of the album that features ten tracks with artists like Linney, Jem Cooke, Grabbitz, and more.

Few bass artists in the scene have captivated crowds as much as Subtronics has lately. This dubstep mastermind has seemingly done it all in recent years, from hosting his own curated shows and embarking on lengthy tours to releasing some of the most beloved tracks in the scene and collaborating with other greats. This year has been marked with plenty of success for Subtronics as he continued his path of domination, which was further fueled by the announcement that he’d be dominating The Gorge with GRiZ next year. Now, he’s delivered another piece to the puzzle with the full release of his latest album, Fibonacci.

Subtronics stated that when he produces music, like the tracks on Fibonacci, it takes him on a journey through emotions and different worlds he’s trying to build. “I feel so much through the process and want to bring that same experience to listeners,” he said. “The album is my personal journal from the past two years, a range of emotions and experiences, a range of worlds and realities in song form. A lot of the tracks are very different from anything I’ve released before, and I’m excited to showcase 15 years of progress with it.”

The first half of the album, Fibonacci Part 1: Oblivion, arrived in April, giving fans their first glimpse of the sonic offerings Subtronics had in store for them. Tracks like “Oblivion,” “Mothclaws,” “Stratosphere,” and “Lock In” with Wooli showcased the dynamic range this bass behemoth brings to the scene, featuring everything from eerie elements to trippy broken beats.

Now, to complete the whole album, Subtronics has unleashed ten more tracks for the Cyclops Army to bask in with Fibonacci Part 2: Infinity. Grabbitz joins in on the fun from the jump on “Infinity,” a track defined by its slowed tempo, pop-leaning vocals, and chilled ambiance. Tracks like “Anxious,” “Fuck Up,” and “Nothing Between” arrive soon after, putting that dynamic range Subtronics brings with him back to the forefront. Meanwhile, later standouts in this part of the album include “By A Thread” with Jem Cooke, “Friends” with Linney, and “Gangstas,” all of which bring powerful basslines, perfectly placed vocals, and other unique elements to make Fibonacci feel complete.

Give FIBONACCI a listen on Spotify or your preferred platform, and follow Subtronics’ social media channels to stay in the know on his upcoming tour stops and more.
