EXHALE has officially turned five, and Amelie Lens is celebrating the milestone with her new single “Activate,” which leads the charge on the EXHALE VA 007 compilation.

The techno scene has continued to morph and grow each year, with beloved artists pushing the genre’s boundaries and fresh faces carrying the torch for the future. Amelie Lens has been at the forefront of this movement since breaking onto the scene, but over the past five years, she’s cultivated even more creativity with her imprint, EXHALE. The label is consistent with its quality soundscapes and forward-thinking approach to techno, and this holds true as it celebrates its half-decade milestone with the release of EXHALE 007.

A total of 13 tracks have been masterfully curated for EXHALE 007, the label’s latest compilation that’s out now across all platforms. Inside, you’ll find cutting-edge techno grooves, all of which showcase each artist’s passion for rave culture and their raw talent. At the forefront is EXHALE’s fearless leader, Amelie Lens, who puts on a masterclass in marrying the mainstage and underground mindsets with “Activate.” This powerful tune drives forward relentlessly, setting the tone for the rest of the compilation as it blurs the line between techno and trance.

There are some familiar faces for those who have been following the releases on EXHALE lately. Flour keeps the trance energy alive with “Love It,” which features vocal layers guiding the way and a hard-hitting, psy-infused bassline that hits you right in the soul. Similar elements can be found in FLKN’s “The Light,” a tune that leans heavily into the trance realm before switching things up with hardstyle kicks for added effect. Another standout comes from AIROD, who keeps that bouncy vibe alive by layering chopped vocals over the ever-trippy synths found on “LSD.”

While those three stood out, you really can’t go wrong with the rest of the tunes on EXHALE 007. From GALLØ’s “Vul Dica” and AISHA’s “Pill Crusher” to Alexa Borzyk’s “Just A Friend” and Carla Schmitt’s “Look At Me,” you’ll find yourself basking in dynamic soundscapes littered with captivating elements that are sure to power you to the end of the year and beyond. If this is any indication of where the label is heading as it heads to its next milestone, techno, and yes, even trance lovers, should take notice and punch their ticket for the ride.
