It’s official: Electric Forest is returning to Rothbury, Michigan in 2026. Here are the dates to request off if you’re planning to attend.
Against all odds, 2025 marked another successful year for Electric Forest, as organizers continue to navigate the turning tides of the industry. Now, they have shared that next year’s edition will once again take place in Rothbury, Michigan from June 25-28, 2026.
The Instagram announcement came in the form of a montage of crowd, installation, and nature shots from Double JJ Ranch — where the 2026 edition will also presumably be held. The short video is synced to the tranquil, understated sonics of “Bunny” by UK DJ and producer Tourist.
No lineup details have been announced for Electric Forest 2026 at the time of writing. This is par for the course for the event brand, as the first headliners for this year’s edition arrived the previous December, and the full lineup was finalized in June. Last year’s performers included Sara Landry, The String Cheese Incident, FISHER, Louis The Child, Liquid Stranger, Barry Can’t Swim, and Nia Archives.
Electric Forest first took place in 2008, then under the name Rothbury Festival. It gained traction for its unique blend of primarily electronic music and jam bands, a crossover it’s maintained to through to the present day. Insomniac has been involved with the event as co-promoter since 2011.
This year, Electric Forest’s organizers joined a handful of other festivals by sharing plans to improve ahead of the 2025 event. It remains to be seen whether it will do so once again before touching down in Rothbury, Michigan next summer.
Tickets to Electric Forest 2026 have yet to go on sale. Sign up for updates on the event website, where you can find additional information.
