Andromedik Releases Standout Debut Album, ‘Ascension.’

Andromedik solidifies his place as a drum and bass powerhouse with his stunning debut album, Ascension.

Belgian DJ and producer Andromedik has spent the last few years steadily climbing the ranks of the drum and bass world. Known for pairing emotive vocals and heartstring-tugging lyricism with high-energy production, he’s built a signature style of anthems that have solidified his place as a modern DnB tastemaker.

His festival-ready sound has earned him slots on lineups from Lost Lands and Apocalypse: Zombieland in the States, to Let It Roll and Liquicity in Europe. His highly technical yet radio-friendly approach has earned him admiration from fans and fellow producers alike. He’s amassed more than 844.2k monthly listeners on Spotify and collaborated with DnB heavyweights like Grafix, Kanine, and Netsky.

Now, he steps into the next phase of his career with his debut album, Ascension, released via AEI Music on October 31.

“Nothing Like You” sets the tone for the album from the very first note, introducing listeners to the vibrant and cinematic sonic palette that defines Ascension. Warm and expressive male vocals glide over piano keys from the start, gradually giving way to a fuller melody that builds in tension. The track unfolds effortlessly, building momentum until it lands in a drop that feels cathartic yet grounded in clean, deliberate production.

Powerful vocals and meaningful lyricism remain a hallmark of Andromedik’s artistry, showcased throughout the entire album. Lauren L’aimant’s velvety vocals soar over the production in “Air” and “Only One,” adding a lush texture that adds depth to both tracks. On “Feelings,” Sam Gray‘s soulful, slightly mournful vocals soar over the dark, melodic production that bring weight to the track’s poignant lyrics about lingering love and heartache.

Meanwhile, Andromedik’s innovative and meticulous sound design on Ascension bring his polished production into sharper focus. Every element feels carefully crafted with precision to sound crisp and leave an impact. The drums punctuate with clarity, the basslines hit heavy, and the melodies flow seamlessly from track to track.

“Never Enough” stands out as Andromedik’s strongest solo work on the album. The production is bold, with highly technical DnB patterns driving the track’s momentum forward, especially during its dynamic and heavy hitting drop.

But really, the collaborative efforts across Ascension serve as some of its most memorable moments, showcasing Andromedik’s ability to work well with other artists to bridge two distinct sounds and create a cohesive track. “Ascension” with Kanine combines Andromedik’s melodic touch with Kanine’s darker, heavier edge, resulting in a concept that strikes the perfect balance between emotion and intensity. With “Out of Body,” Andromedik links up with Netsky for something more bright and fun, their styles complementing each other perfectly.

A Little Sound — an award-winning vocalist and producer who took home the Best Vocalist award at the Drum and Bass Awards in 2022 and 2024 — joins Andromedik and fellow Belgian producer Basstripper on “Sunlight,” lending her glimmering vocals. Basstripper, known for his punchy, high-energy jump-floor sound and songs like “In The City” and “Time To Go,” works seamlessly with Andromedik here to create a “jumpfloor” track — a hybrid of dancefloor and jump-up that’s as fluid as it is gritty.

From start to finish, Ascension showcases Andromedik’s complex and skilled songwriting, making him stand out as one of the most promising, rising DnB artists today. It’s a debut that feels like a culmination of years of growth and a confident step towards an even bigger future.
