John Summit Unleashes His Experts Only 'Playa Package'

**John Summit has just dropped off his Playa Package, a compilation of Burning Man-inspired remixes that brings the magic of the Playa to dancefloors worldwide.**

When it comes to capturing the essence of a sunrise on the playa, John Summit isn’t one to half-step. Fresh off the heels of a year full of iconic sets and festival milestones, the Chicago-born selector has unveiled his Playa Package — a six-track remix compilation stitched together specifically for his unforgettable Mayan Warrior debut at Burning Man earlier this year.

Since attending his first Burn back in 2022, Summit had his sights set on playing the Mayan Warrior art car’s sunrise tradition. This year, his dream came to a reality: months of edits, custom reworks, and carefully curated remixes culminated in a set that lived up to the myth and blessed Black Rock City with his very own desert dreamscape. The Playa Package, out now on Experts Only, is less like an EP and more like a portal to the Mayan Warrior at sunrise—a sonic souvenir from the dust that refuses to settle.

All of these remixes were crafted specifically for my Burning Man set – some of my biggest tracks reimagined and reborn in the desert. In addition to my special ‘crystallized’ playa rework, we tapped some of our favorite producers from within the community, artists who live and breathe its ethos & whose sounds perfectly capture its beauty, grit, and radical expression
