Monolink Takes the Road Less Traveled in New Album, ‘The Beauty Of It All’

Berlin-based producer Monolink takes listeners on a musical journey in his ten-track album, The Beauty Of It All, out on Embassy One.

Recognized for living in the in-between, Steffen Linck, also known as Monolink, walks a fine line between club energy and concert hall production, between the DJ booth and the stage. With his third album, The Beauty Of It All, he brings those worlds together, pulling listeners in with mesmerizing vocals that provoke a deep emotional response: to dance, smile, or simply feel.

Across ten tracks, Monolink leans into his signature combo of guitar, synths, and vocals to deliver a record that doesn’t demand listeners’ attention, but gradually earns it. Rather than chasing top hits, the artist demonstrates patience, letting each track slowly unfold with layers of intentional sound and emotional depth.

A clear standout arrives at song 11 with “Mesmerized,” a hit that almost feels like a dream collab between RÜFÜS and REZZ. Its standout vocals, analog drum tones, and swirling melodies give it a darker, heavier edge compared to the rest of the album.

Climbing back up to the opening track “Call Of The Void,” sets the tone repeating the album’s title phrase and embedding it in your head. From there, shifting into “Perfect World,” co-written with Severin Kantereit, Monolink plays with more glitchy percussion and upbeat groove fit for sunrise hours.

One thing that makes the record stand out is how Monolink refuses to stay in one emotional lane. Tracks like “Powerful Play” reconnect with his deeper roots, while “Avalanche” (largely born jamming with Toby Siebertand) and “In My Place” lean into a more trance-like rhythm supported by raw vocals, capturing a spontaneity and playfulness.

Keeping up with that same energy, Monolink shifts into dream-like territory in “Promise Land” with a Pink Floyd-inspired intro that slowly builds momentum. Meanwhile, “Beacon” has a more piano-led folk energy, shifting yet again into a different emotional lane.

As the album comes to an end, Greek Mythology lends its spirit to “Phoenix.” Playing off the name, which refers to a legendary immortal bird that regenerates or is otherwise born again, the track brings a sense of rediscovery and finding the spark to rise once more. To seal the journey, “Once I Understood” lands somewhere between lullaby and reflection.

The Beauty Of It All is an album that insists on its own pace, inviting listeners to lean in rather than turn up. It’s a record of patience and lived emotion. More than anything, it’s a reminder that sometimes the most powerful music isn’t the loudest.
