In addition to dropping a head-turning collaboration, Sam Gellaitry has shared the release date for his debut LP, ANYWHERE HERE IS PERFECT.

At 28 years old, Sam Gellaitry has sent veteran-level shockwaves through the electronic music scene thus far in his still young career. Born in Stirling, Scotland, Gellaitry left school at age 16 to pursue music, officially launching his solo artist project in 2014.

After ditching the distractions and fully locking into his artistic vision — while amassing new fans by the day on SoundCloud — the teenage production prodigy earned coveted attention. He also received a cosign on his now-taken-down debut EP, Short Stories, from the once highly influential Los Angeles imprint Soulection.

Gellaitry released his magnum opus, the EP Escapism, in November 2015 as the first installment in a trilogy set. It catapulted his career to unforeseen heights marked by A-list collaborations, hundreds of millions of streams, live mixing at Coachella, and even a Diet Coke Super Bowl ad featuring his perhaps most notable production piece, “Long Distance.”

After delivering a bouncy, pop-leaning house gem, “HOME,” in October 2024, Gellaitry took a short-lived release hiatus through August 8, 2025. It was then that the “Assumptions” producer decided to revive his recorded music presence with “START UP A RUMOUR.”

Fast forward to this September 8, and Gellaitry has officially imparted a wildly infectious audiovisual collaboration alongside chillwave genre pioneer Chaz Bear, perhaps better known as GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Toro y Moi. Now streaming everywhere, with the official video available on YouTube, “CURIOUS” is an expertly crafted mesh of indie-electronic soundscapes layered atop R&B-leaning percussion elements. All these elements are packaged together at a 2025-approved tempo of 126 BPM. Not surprisingly, Gellaitry and Bear both glow in their respective artistries even on a Beatport-primed house record.

Paired with the release of his brand new joint work, Sam Gellaitry has also officially unveiled the November 7 release date for his long-awaited album debut in ANYWHERE HERE IS PERFECT. Due in two short months via Major Recordings in partnership with Warner Music Group, the highly-anticipated longform project will feature 12 tracks in total, including both “START UP A RUMOUR” and freshly shared “CURIOUS.”

Gellaitry is also gearing up for a headline North American tour run beginning in October. This series of shows comes with date-specific support from none other than Kaytranada, Justice, and Madeon.

Listen to “CURIOUS” and pre-save ANYWHERE HERE IS PERFECT in preparation for what will likely unfold as a globally resonant new year for Sam Gellaitry.
