After years of crossing paths, house acts John Summit and Gorgon City have finally teamed up on their first joint single, “Is Everybody Having Fun?”
John Summit is back with another dance-ready single to fuel your summer soundtrack. Hot off the release of his remix of “Silence” by Delerium and Sarah McLachlan, the lauded producer has dropped his viral collaboration with dance music duo Gorgon City.
Beginning their relationship in 2020 through a back-to-back set in Chicago, the two dance music behemoths forged a friendship that resulted in official remixes of Summit’s “Where You Are” and “You’ve Done Enough” by Gorgon City. Flash forward to now, the two have finally released their first collaboration together: “Is Everybody Having Fun?“
Originally teased to fans through a tweet that captured over 220,000 views, the eagerly awaited tech house banger features vocals from rhys from the sticks. “After years of playing parties together and remixing each other’s music, Gorgon City and I decided to team up and produce this club weapon meant strictly for dancefloors,” said Summit of the track on Instagram. When he cued up the then-unreleased single during his Club Space marathon set in May, it was clearly a smash success.
As festival season ramps up, “Is Everybody Having Fun?” adds another infectious groover to Summit’s arsenal of crowd pleasers. With upcoming appearances at major festivals including Lollapalooza Berlin and Paris, VELD, Outside Lands, and ARC in his home city of Chicago, there’s plenty of opportunities for fans to catch Summit in his element this summer.
You can now stream John Summit and Gorgon City’s highly anticipated debut collaboration on your preferred streaming platform.
