James Grant Lands in Sri Lanka for Latest ‘Movement’ Mix

James Grant transports viewers to the picturesque shores of Sri Lanka for the latest installment in his Movement series.

Few labels have so distinctly carved out and maintained their territory within the ever-evolving landscape of dance music like Anjunadeep. Through the past two decades, the vision of Above & Beyond and their manager, James Grant has established an unshakeable dominance in the melodic, progressive, and ambient spheres. For producers drawn to the deeper shades of dance music, securing a release on Anjunadeep remains a definitive career milestone.

Earlier this year, Grant delivered his third installment of the acclaimed Movement series against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Agung in Bali. Building upon this legacy, Grant has migrated to the shores of Sri Lanka for the latest compilation Movement Vol. 4. The 21-track masterpiece showcases the refined, emotive sound Anjunadeep is known for.

Through the 90-minute journey, Grant features upcoming releases from label veterans Martin Roth, Ezequiel Arias and John Monkman. With his signature nod to the classics, the addition of “Symbols” by Solarity and the acid-drenched “Secrets & Lies” from Fort Romeau support a well-paced exploration of music. Fan favorite “Sunsetter” by Dosem is nestled perfectly in the middle of the mix. The final minutes of the compilation are particularly noteworthy as Braxton returns to the series with his highly anticipated remix of James Grant & Jody Wisternoff‘s, “Dopple.”

Captivating views off the coast of the Indian Ocean emphasize the patient and peaceful energy conveyed by Grant. The stunning contrast of lush green forests against the crashing waves, coupled with impeccable musical selections, makes this installment a must-watch and listen for Anjunadeep diehards or anyone seeking a relaxing musical experience.
