Insomniac and ICON Collective Officially Announce Discovery Project Partnership

Insomniac and ICON Collective have teamed up for Discovery Project competitions in 2025 to help further support aspiring artists in the scene.

While Insomniac might be most renowned for hosting some of the biggest festivals on the planet, their influence reaches beyond those experiences with their labels and other projects. This includes the Discovery Project, which hosts competitions for aspiring artists ahead of festivals with winners receiving a timeslot to perform and more. Today, Insomniac has expanded the program’s offerings for winners by officially inking a deal with ICON Collective.

This newfound partnership between Insomniac and ICON Collective will see Discovery Project winners receive a first-of-its-kind academic sponsorship to the school’s Advanced Music Production Program. The news of this collaboration was first teased during the EDC Las Vegas “music through music” lineup reveal, and the Discovery Project contest for the upcoming edition will kick off the year-long partnership between the two Southern California brands.

The EDC Las Vegas 2025 Discovery Project competition is open until Wednesday, April 2. Beloved duo and ICON Collective alumni SLANDER will join the panel of judges from Insomniac Music Group for this competition, lending insight and expertise for the selection of the winner.

The lucky winner for this year’s EDC Las Vegas competition will receive a comprehensive experience from ICON Collective. This includes state-of-the-art training in their campus, studios, and creative spaces, 1-on-1 mentorship from expert instructors, access to office hours for additional learning support, direct insights from artists and industry leaders, networking opportunities, and more.

The partnership between Insomniac and ICON Collective will extend beyond EDCLV. Throughout the rest of 2025, the school will be the official academic sponsor for 14 other Discovery Project competitions. Those winners will receive an exclusive ten-week mentorship tailored to their growth and access to ELEVATE, ICON Collective’s online music production program.
