This year’s edition of Dreamstate SoCal is stacked with talent. Give the lineup one look, and you’ll immediately see acts like Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, John O’Callaghan, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Judge Jules, Darude, Talla 2XLC, and countless others who have helped shape the genre. Yet there’s so much more that this festival will offer when it returns to the Queen Mary Waterfront on November 22-23.

Among those artists are others who are climbing their way up the ranks of the scene and showing how bright the future of trance, progressive, and more can (and will) be for years to come. Julian Gray
Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and progress-o champion Julian Gray has long been on the radar of many in the scene. His releases have graced labels, including mau5trap, Anjunabeats, Monstercat Silk, Colorize, and more, while he’s continued to perform incredible sets and support other artists through his collective, Graydient. More recently, Julian Gray began embarking on his most ambitious project yet, CONTRAST. This forthcoming album will see him push the boundaries of his sound, and if “Out Here” with Richard Patrick and “Fate Of Us” are any indication, the dynamic nature he brings to his productions will be fully displayed.
Julian Gray is opening The Dream stage on Saturday, November 23 at 1pm. He’s teased that he’ll be playing out plenty of tunes from his album and more, so don’t sleep on his set!
Grigoré
Those who have immersed themselves in the sounds of melodic house and techno in recent years will have surely stumbled upon Grigoré. He began his journey in the scene on Lane 8’s This Never Happened but has since found a home on other esteemed imprints like REALM, Diynamic, Experts Only, and Tenet Recordings, among others. His innate production ability translates to memorable releases that sweep listeners off their feet, and his sets are just as magical.
Grigoré will display his powerful tunes on The Dream stage at 2pm on Saturday, November 23. Don’t miss your chance to get whisked away to a melodic wonderland.
MIYUKI
MIYUKI took a leap of faith years ago, leaving her career in science to pursue her passion for DJing and producing – and she hasn’t looked back since. This Chicago-based artist has been on a dominating path since she made her first moves in the scene, not only drawing the attention of major artists in the scene who have supported her music, but a growing number of fans who flock to her sets and tune in to her livestreams on Twitch.
MIYKUKI is set to open The Dream stage on Friday, November 22 at 1pm and is sure to deliver another captivating performance. Don’t miss out!
Taylor Torrence
From his early days finding his footing in the realm of progressive house and trance to developing his new, rave-forward sound that is filled with energy, it’s been remarkable watching Taylor Torrence’s rise in the scene. He’s been a frequent face at festivals like EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate, and more in recent years and has consistently delivered some of the most unique sets that have leaned toward the harder, techno-laced side of the spectrum. If you’re on the hunt for a dose of energy, Taylor Torrence will deliver what you crave.
Taylor Torrence is set to take over The Void stage on Saturday, November 23 at 2:30pm, and will bring a dynamic performance that’s sure to melt your mind.
XiJaro & Pitch
Trance DJ and producer duo XiJaro & Pitch have made quite a name for themselves over the past decade. Their spine-tingling, uplifting soundscapes have left fans breathless, and their performances at festivals like Luminosity and others worldwide have followed suit. XiJaro & Pitch catapulted themselves into even more hearts during the pandemic, where their Chasing Dreams show on Twitch became a place for many to find solace amid the madness, and since then they’ve only continued to grow as artists in the scene.
Make sure you catch XiJaro & Pitch when they take the stage for another fantastic performance on Friday, November 22 at 3pm. They’ll be taking over The Vision stage for a set you won’t want to miss!
Daniel Pinho
If your tastes lean more toward the progressive house side of the spectrum, Daniel Pinho is a surefire artist who will satiate your cravings. Based out of Los Angeles, he’s channeled his roots in jazz guitar, classical cello, and piano to craft some remarkable soundscapes on his releases, and his performances have left crowds swooning. This project is only three years old but has seen immense support from some of the biggest artists and tastemakers in the scene, so there’s no better time to catch him than now because he’ll be a force to be reckoned with soon.
