Ismus is back as an imprint of Charlotte de Witte’s KNTXT, celebrating the evolution of hard techno, rave, dance, and trance with an all-new, 10-track compilation, NOVAONE.

For many, the early days of techno music and the rebellious spirit of rave culture are foundational to the evolution of electronic and dance music. It’s hard to deny that the energy and ethos of the underground rave culture in the ’80s and ’90s is woven into the sounds we hear today. At its core, the hallmark of a thriving industry is to find innovative ways to carry sonic traditions into the future to ensure that the culture of freedom and individuality continues to thrive in our present-day community.

In line with that spirit, Berlin imprint Ismus makes its official comeback under the wing of Charlotte de Witte‘s KNTXT label after an 18-months hiatus. Firmly committed to pushing forward hard techno, rave, dance, and trance, Ismus aims to champion the sounds that have consistently resonated with a classic underground rave while looking ahead to new horizons.

Alongside this announcement, the label has relaunched its new chapter with a fresh release of its all-new 10-track various artist compilation, NOVAONE. The effort injects an intense mix of rave, hard techno, and trance, featuring talents like Cadence, VOST, KTRSX, AK SPORTS, BIG WETT, Tommy Holohan, BAN NOTICE, and SZG.

Through Ismus, I discovered some massive tracks such as Krl Mx’s “Leftlovers.” It was also the label that introduced me to the then yet-unknown Amazingblaze. To see it go on hiatus felt like a loss to our scene. It’s vital to me that breakthrough platforms and labels like Ismus stay around and are given the opportunity to grow. With KNTXT, we’re very happy to play a part in the continuation of the label and look forward to Ismus’ next chapter. We’re quite convinced they will continue to surprise us and introduce us to raw talent that deserves attention.

Marking its dynamic return, rising techno artist Krl Mx dropped the first single, “All Is Dead Inside,” to set the tone for the compilation. The hard-hitting, industrial-strength production features propelling synth leads and jolting soundscapes that pull the listeners into a dimension of undeniable groove. Other high-octane tracks like “Fazed Reality,” “Across The Room,” and “Emergency” continue to dominate the package while providing hard, pumping energy in every drop.

In this exciting new era, Ismus is poised to set the stage for cutting-edge releases while spotlighting the many talented artists and producers shaping the underground rave scene.
