Broken Hill swung by this fall and dropped off a mix filled to the brim with darker, deeper indie dance soundscapes that define his sound.
San Diego-based artist Broken Hill has a deep-rooted love for electronic music that all began during his younger years. His father, a passionate dance music lover, exposed him to different styles early on, which sparked a fire in his creative soul and led him to become a producer and sound engineer. Since then, Broken Hill has continued to carve out a niche as a producer while doubling as the lead audio engineer at The Music Company Studios.
Broken Hill’s lush melodies, deep basslines, and intricate rhythms are intoxicating yet provide enough energy to make his tunes perfect for the dancefloor. His recent accomplishments include the release of his EP on Moscoman’s Disco Halal, Change Your Mind, which turned the heads of fans and global tastemakers alike, along with tunes like “All I’ve Said” and “Way Of Being,” and remixes of Edgar Everyone’s “Who’s The Dreamer” and The Dare’s “Girls.” Pair those with his fantastic performances, and you’ve got the recipe for a star in the making.
Although America’s Finest City might not be known for seasonal changes like the rest of the country, that hasn’t stopped Broken Hill from spinning a mix that will make you feel festive. “This mix is a collection of my forthcoming, unreleased tracks that are coming at the end of this year and into 2025,” he shared. “I have two singles coming out in November on Musmeci & Lehar’s label, Multinotes, and on Pavel Petrov’s label, EXE Audio, in collaboration with my friends, The Drake Brothers.”
