Wave pioneer MRJay gives fans the perfect end-of-summer jams on his Reverie EP on vibe.digital!

As wave music is making its waves in the scene, it’s always good to pay respect where it’s due—to the ones who paved the way for genres like this to be successful. MRJay has been a trailblazer and inspiration to many within this rapidly growing music bracket, including well-loved names like Juche, Skeler, Enjoii, and Sibewest.

MRJay’s impressive amount of time and passion he’s put forward into his craft, it’s no surprise that his tracks can inspire fans, peers, and music lovers alike with his talents. His specialty is blending genres and experimenting with sound to evoke vivid, imaginative experiences. Today, MRJay is back again to paint new experiences with sound with five new tracks on his latest EP, Reverie.

The Reverie journey begins with female vocals, which are as “Vibrant” as the title suggests. Once she speaks her truth, you’re skyrocketed into the all-familiar wave energy that radiates throughout the rest of the track. The sense of weightlessness enters as “Another Life” appears right before you. With each beat, more angelic vocals wrap around you, and the drum elements push you higher into the sky. Then, you can ease into “Forgotten Age” as its slow tempo calms your nervous system. Feel yourself slipping into a calm state as this song runs its course.

“Final Dance/Finality” continues this trek on the more tranquil side of wave. It feels like you’re walking slowly as distorted male and female vocal samples lead you to a pleasant surprise: a more trap-like assortment of drums and high hats that inspires listeners to move their bodies. The time must come for an end as you “Break Away” from our exploration of MRJay’s musical mind creations. By the end of this fanciful musing, you will reach a state of pure bliss from heavenly landscapes portrayed as each second passes.

Listen to Reverie on your favorite platform, and follow MRJay on his socials to see what this innovative artist is up to next!
