SVDDEN DEATH announced that his festival, Summoning of the Eclipse, will not return this year, and future editions will no longer take place at The Caverns.
In 2022, SVDDEN DEATH stunned the bass music community by announcing the debut edition of his very own festival, Summoning of the Eclipse. This experience featured a flurry of top-tier artists and rising stars alike at one of the most unique venues in the US, Tennessee’s The Caverns. Last year saw the festival return for its sophomore edition, and the weekend seemingly went off without a hitch, but for an undisclosed reason, the venue has decided not to play host to Summoning of the Eclipse this year.
SVDDEN DEATH took to social media earlier today to announce the devastating news for many who were looking forward to experiencing a weekend of heavy bass and more at the beloved venue this fall.“We threw a safe and successful festival two years in a row. I was the first DJ to play there, and helped build the venue’s deserved reputation as an amazing destination location,” SVDDEN DEATH stated before diving into its impact as a celebration of the underground. “To say that I’m disappointed with Caverns decision to no longer host is an understatement.”
No concrete details regarding The Caverns’ decision were revealed aside from SVDDEN DEATH saying that he hopes to bring the festival to “a different, more inclusive area in 2025.” That said, the beloved bass artist will be taking pieces of the festival on the road with him during the Heretic Tour, which is set to kick off later this year.
