From October 12 – December 14, Kasablanca will show off music from Higher Resolution in cities throughout the Americas.
Kasablanca have spared no time announcing a tour in support of their upcoming album. Earlier this week, the progressive house duo shared that the first part of Higher Resolution will come out on October 4. They have now shared that the following weekend, they will embark on the Higher Resolution Tour, which touches down in 17 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the US from October 12 – December 14.
The tour commences with a stop at the Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver before Kasablanca perform at Hipodroma de las Americas in Mexico City. Then, after having flown over the entire US, the duo will play in 13 of its cities in a row. Concord Music Hall in Chicago, The Ogden Theatre in Denver, Brooklyn Steel, and The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles are among these stops. Kasablanca’s Higher Resolution tour then concludes with two back-to-back Canada dates: one at the Theatre Fairmount in Montréal and an as-yet-unnanounced warehouse venue in Toronto.
The finale isn’t the only thing Kasablanca tried to leave to the imagination in their announcement. The Higher Resolution Tour graphic includes two stops obscured with a mosaic effect, one on November 16 and another on November 30. A closer look at the latter reveals its location to be The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.
Higher Resolution bookends Kasablanca’s darkest chapter thus far, as member Shaun Frank (who goes by Micky for this project) recently beat cancer. The album consists of two parts, and the duo have only shared details for three of the 11 songs comprising the first part at the time of writing.
Tickets for most of the dates comprising Kasablanca’s Higher Resolution Tour are on sale now. Purchase yours or RSVP for the others via Laylo.
