dazegxd explores the intersection of creativity, emotion, and jungle music on his sophomore album, Exhibition Mode, out now on deadAir.
Based in Brooklyn, dazegxd is an inimitable electronic music artist who is doing it like no other. Combining influences of drum and bass, hip-hop, video game soundtracks, house, and jungle music, the self-taught artist creates a beautiful and moving signature sound that, simply put, is damn good dance music. If you’re not familiar yet, now is the next best time to get acquainted.
First earning our attention last year, dazegxd immediately captivated us upon the first listen. Tracks like “way 2 good (idc)” and “emotion engine” made for such a memorable introduction that we knew we had to come back for more. Luckily, 2023 saw dazegxd release Girls Love Jungle, a phenomenal collaborative album with the incredibly talented gum.mp3. More recently, he released “rock dem,” a dance-frenzy single now included in his newest album, Exhibition Mode.
While dazegxd’s discography speak for itself, the young artist has also been hard at work achieving notable things behind the scenes, including having “way 2 good (idc)” featured in the video game Night Runners Prologue and the Billionaire Boys Club x G-Shock ad. He’s also recently played direct support for our favorite UK jungle queen Nia Archives, both in New York City and London, and become a beloved resident on NTS Radio.

dazegxd unlocks a new level of emotional creativity on Exhibition Mode.
Exhibition Mode serves as the sophomore album for dazegxd, as well as his largest body of work so far. The album includes 14 tracks, each one better than the last. It kicks off with “undefined,” which eases listeners in with airy vocals over unwieldy breaks, a common theme throughout the album.
Up next, my personal favorite off the album, “way 2 good (idc)” takes over the spotlight with an outpour of breakcore drums and echoing vocals that fade away, leaving listeners yearning for more. The album then continues with “i don’t” with MON, “on2u,” “won’t tell nobody,” and “a million and one,” each providing their own kind of listening journey through dance, emotion, and blissful jungle chaos.
I want to do what vKiss couldn’t. . . but most importantly, I want it to be heard and felt.

The album continues with the previously released “rock dem,” a track that deceives listeners with a slower start, but is sure to set dancefloors ablaze. “touch & kiss” turns up the heat, and further down the line, “bang my shit” will have listeners bouncing with no stop in sight.
The album rounds out with “girl of the century” and “touch the sky,” two melancholic tracks driven by breaks and tender vocals. Dazegxd accomplishes all he set out to do with Exhibition Mode, allowing listeners the chance to hear and feel different sides of him through 14 beautifully crafted tracks.
