FISHER is taking time off from June 19th-July 10th as his wife, Chloe Chapman, is expecting.

FISHER is getting ready to take some much-needed paternity leave in a couple of months as his wife, Chloe Chapman, prepares to give birth to their child. The “Atmosphere” co-producer has shared that for a roughly three-week span of time from June 19-July 10, fellow tech house artist Patrick Topping will take over his residency at Hï Ibiza.

“As you know, my wife’s due to give birth this summer and we’re both over the moon,” wrote FISHER (whose full name is Paul Fisher) in a statement. “To be with Chloe for one of the biggest moments of our lives, I will hand over the reins of my Hï Ibiza residency to the incredible Patrick Topping from 19th June – 10th July.”

He continued: “I know Patrick will do an amazing job in the Theatre for these shows, and Vintage Culture will continue his Club Room residency.” Fisher also promised that he would extend his residency by an extra week, meaning that it will end on October 2.

FISHER became synonymous with tech house as the genre ascended into the mainstream spotlight at the tail end of the EDM boom of 2010-2020, known for earworm anthems like “Stop It” and “Losing It.” The latter hit #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart following its 2018 release, and it landed him a GRAMMY Awards nomination in the category of Best Dance Recording the following year.

Chapman and Fisher have had an unfortunate run of luck since getting married. The night they wed, Chapman’s grandmother suddenly passed away after traveling to Indonesia for the ceremony. Then, she had trouble getting pregnant, finally announcing that she had succeeded in doing so this past Christmas eve on the other end of IVF procedures and surgeries.

Needless to say, Fisher and Chapman must be overjoyed that the finish line is within sight. His fans will certainly also be excited when he returns to the DJ booth after some time off.
