RamonPang challenges electronic music fans to listen intently to his new album, Life Cycle Waves, which features ten show-stopping tracks.

If the name RamonPang doesn’t ring a bell, now would be the next best time to get familiar. He is a highly memorable and versatile artist who’s been making waves in the dance music space since his arrival. From his IDM bootlegs and chaos-driven aliases to co-founding his burgeoning community through the Tabula Rasa Record Company and joining the Brownies & Lemonade team, he continues making a mark on the scene.

Unafraid to pursue his wildest dreams, RamonPang has gone from a humble bedroom DJ and producer to supporting major artists, including some of his idols like Skrillex, G Jones, Ivy Lab, and Salute. He’s also garnered support from other major artists on his releases, including Four Tet, Fred again.., and more.

RamonPang started the year by teasing the release of his third album, Life Cycle Waves. March saw him unveil the lead single “Nothing To Figure Out,” a tantalizing seven-minute-long track that we couldn’t look away from. Now, the full-length album is finally here in all its glory on Tabula Rasa Records with ten handcrafted tracks.

Life Cycle Waves begins with “Run Algae,” a beautiful track filled with organic sounds, subtle breaks, and a sound reminiscent of a bird’s wings fluttering. Listening to this track makes you feel like you’re being transported to an entirely different world filled with magic. The album continues with “Daze,” another surreal track filled with subtle breaks, that also leans more into a glitch hop beat and airy vocals.

Following that, “A Vast Expanse” enters with more percussion, breaks, and alternating speed. It takes on a different energy than the first two tracks, suddenly slowing down with incredible attention to detail on the combination of sounds that fill the space. “Held and Waiting to Be Held” then takes center stage with three minutes and 45 seconds of absolute sonic bliss. Listening to this song feels like a warm embrace, all while your ears experience ethereal sounds and vocals in the background.

“Waves Crashing” is a more audibly intense song, featuring glitches, breaks, and eerie chimes, while the funky “Be With Me” offers an overflow of organic sounds combined with glitch hop and sounds of an acoustic guitar to create an ambiance of peaceful bliss. The shortest track on the album, “Smooth,” slows things down a bit but serves up a beautifully crafted combination of organic sounds that somehow maintains a mellow pace. The album then rounds out with “Third Freeze” and “We Smiled Together,” two tracks that help listeners wind down with minimalism, drums, and the peaceful sound of wind chimes.

Life Cycle Waves fully serves as a reminder to listen with intent, as there is plenty of magic within every second. This is easily one project that requires multiple listens, as you’re sure to notice something new each time. Dive into the album’s tracks by listening on Spotify or your preferred streaming service.
