Turn back the clock, and you’ll find Jaytech as a force to be reckoned with on the Anjunabeats roster. Not only did this beloved artist deliver a plethora of releases on the imprint, but he was a studio engineer and proved his abilities behind the decks at numerous shows and festivals along the way. More recently, Jaytech has continued to drop off sensational soundscapes while helping usher in a new wave of artists on his label, Positronic. But to kick off his run of releases in 2024, he’s returned to his home on Anjunabeats with Nebula / Makes You Wonder.
“Nebula” kicks off this two-track ride into the heavens and has roots in a project that he created during an online production workshop last year. Jaytech layers in trance-fueled elements that will provide a spark of energy in the depths of your soul before he adds serene vocals to maximize the emotion-stirring nature of its soundscape. This one quickly makes you want to move your body along with it wherever you might be listening, so get ready to dance when you press play.
The second track, “Makes You Wonder,” sees Jaytech dig deeper into his progressive house side with a bassline and synth layers that hypnotize the mind and another vocal inclusion that packs a punch. Don’t fret if you think this might be softer than the previous gem; there’s still a heart dose of power in this tune as it erupts with plenty of dancefloor energy to keep the vibes alive as you transition deeper into the night.
