What was your first electronic music event?
Nocturnal 2008!
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
At the time I was first getting into the scene, Infected Mushroom was my favorite and definitely got me heavily into electronic music. Since they were headlining Nocturnal, that made the decision pretty easy. At the time, my core group also really wanted to go. So we went as a big group. It was a wonderful experience!
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
One moment in particular stands out to me at EDC 2012. My current best friend Ashlee and I were watching Tritonal perform. At the time, we were still becoming friends, and at one point we both looked at each other and grab hands, hugged and said “did we just become best friends?” YUP. and we then proceeded to dance the night away. A Step Brothers gone raver moment :)
However, there have too many amazing moments to count and wonderful people I have gotten the pleasure to meet through this scene. I look forward to many more moments to come!
What is your favorite festival or event?
So far, Burning Man was my favorite festival by far. However, I’m planning to check Luminosity next year, so I am looking forward to seeing how European and American festivals differ!
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
It’s really difficult to pick out just one. To name a few: “Beautiful” by Ferry Corsten, “Language” by Porter Robinson, “I Don’t Deserve You” by Paul Van Dyk, and “Move for Me” by Kaskade are definitely in the top of the list.
Who are your favorite artists?
Aly & Fila, Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and Bassnectar all make the top of my list!
What are your favorite genres?
TRANCE! Also love House and Hardstyle
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
A couple of years ago, my best friend Ashlee and I decided to officially establish the Trance Family San Diego. Since then, we have been trying to spread the love of trance around San Diego. We are constantly trying to work towards a bigger family.
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself for the readers?
If you ever see me at a show or anytime, don’t hesitate to come say hi! I love to meet new people and make new friends! Also, for all you trance lovers out there, make sure to come out to any shows! See you all on the dance floor!
