The Supernova family needs your help. Join the Electronic Music Community movement by donating today!
On the dawn of October 7, 2023, an attack by Hamas occurred on the grounds of the Supernova festival in the Negev desert, near Kibbutz Re’im. Hundreds of lives were lost and dozens abducted on what was supposed to be a day of peace and celebration. War would soon follow.
In the wake of this tragedy, a grassroots group of Israeli beatmakers and industry professionals banded together to form the Electronic Music Community. Their mission? To aid and support the victims and their families the best way they know how: through donations and music. This how you can help the #BringThemBack movement.
A 50+ track, multi-genre compilation album has been created, featuring a who’s who of trance that includes Ace Ventura, Freedom Fighters, Infected Mushroom, Stereo Underground, Vini Vici, and more. All proceeds go to those directly affected by the Supernova massacre. All you have to do is head over to October07.org, where you’ll find the links for multiple avenues of support.
You can select the option “GIVE BACK” to choose the amount you’d like to give or select from packages that range from $25 – $1,250. The packages include the complete compilation album all the way up to limited-edition, artist-signed project shirts. Or, if you prefer, you can click on “BANDCAMP” and purchase the compilation or T-shirts directly from their platform.
This is how the #BringThemBack earnings will be divided:
- Financial support for the victims (murdered, kidnapped, injured, and missing) and their families, and rehabilitation support for survivors (e.g. psychological treatment, professional guidance, establishment of a treatment center for victims and their families with accommodations)
- Financial and emotional support for survivors (the employees, suppliers, security guards, and all the staff who suffered physically, mentally and financially)
The entire world is in mourning for the brothers and sisters that we’ve lost in both Israel and Gaza. Will there come a day when the governments on both sides find the strength to say enough is enough, lay down their weapons, and find a new way to solve these complicated and deep-seated issues? No matter what tomorrow brings, let’s take care of one another by giving what we can today.
