Breakaway Music Festival Bay Area returns for a second year, bringing Alan Walker, DJ Snake, Madeon, Big Gigantic, What So Not, and more.
While many music festivals appeal to crowds with things like camping and travel, Breakaway Music Festival does things a little differently by bringing the festival to you. Created by Prime Social Group in 2016 in Columbus, Ohio, the festival quickly became the nation’s leading touring festival with stops in the Carolinas, Kansas, Michigan, and, more recently, Northern California. And excitement bubbled when the festival announced its return to the Bay Area on October 13-14 in collaboration with Another Planet Entertainment.
This year’s lineup brings a tasteful variety to attendees at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium of San Francisco. It includes some exciting major artists like Alan Walker, DJ Snake, NGHTMRE, Madeon, Big Gigantic, Walker & Royce, Henry Fong, and What So Not. Attendees will also get a taste of something different, with artists like Moore Kismet, Tsu Nami, and Kaleena Zanders, while bass lovers will flock to the sets from Smoakland, Rossy, and Bonnie x Clyde on the bill.
The final and most exciting addition to this year’s lineup is the Brownies & Lemonade stage takeover, with artists who have yet to be announced. However, if you know anything about this crew, it’s that any stage they’re at will be a party you can’t miss! Known for their record of bringing insanely major artists out as secret special guests, Brownies & Lemonade serves as a perfect addition to the Breakaway Festival San Francisco stop.
