The music titan is honoring the 20th anniversary of his SIZE Records label with a performance at the Brooklyn Mirage.
Before reaching international status in the early 2010s with the Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello was already recognized as a talented producer within the dance scene. Early in his career, in 2003, the then-20-year-old producer launched SIZE Records, which, at the time, was when dance music was far outside the mainstream airwaves. However, through this venture, the Grammy-nominated producer championed rising talent and created a stronger ecosystem for the electronic community.
Throughout the years, the label has been home to many dance veterans such as Laidback Luke, Afrojack, and CID, but thanks in part to the 2010’s EDM boom and the success of his electronic trio, the label has become a prominent destination for young artists and electronic releases. Now, in honor of the label’s 20th anniversary, the dance-floor king is celebrating this milestone with a monumental performance at The Brooklyn Mirage on August 20.
While the label celebration kicks off in Stockholm on May 26, the SIZE party at the New York venue offers a panoramic video wall with an open-air environment that is sure to make the summer night a memorable experience. The opening acts have not been released yet, but being one of the world’s most talented producers has its perks, so expect a late evening that features a roster of SIZE artists and special surprises.
If you can’t make it to this historic show but still want a piece of the label’s history, stay tuned to Steve Angello’s socials because a vinyl collection of the label’s complete discography is due sometime this year.
Presale tickets are starting at $60 and go on sale May 19 at 11 AM EST, which can be accessed through DICE. The general sale also begins on May 19 at 1 PM EST. Let us know if you’re planning to attend this monumental night on Twitter!
