The debut edition of Thunder Beats Music Festival in Pensacola has been canceled just under a month from when it was supposed to kick off.
Thunder Beats Music Festival came out guns blazing when it dropped the news of its debut edition back in January of this year. The new festival in Pensacola was set to feature major artists in the scene including Marshmello, Kaskade, deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Adventure Club, Dillon Francis, RL Grime, and more. But today, the festival organizers took to social media to announce that Thunder Beats Music Festival would not be taking place this year.
This surprising news arrived less than a month away from the festival’s originally scheduled dates of April 22-24. In a statement that was posted to Thunder Beats’ social media channels, the festival organizers expressed the struggle to get it to the high standard they hoped to achieve and therefore wouldn’t be moving forward as originally planned.
Those who had purchased tickets for Thunder Beats Music Festival will receive a full refund in the next two weeks. If you have questions about the refund process, please direct your emails to [email protected].
While the festival organizers indicated that they plan to revisit Thunder Beats Music Festival in the future, no further details have surfaced as of publishing. Stay tuned for other festival and event cancellations and postponements this year as we dive deeper into 2022.
