Sabai Shows Off His Unique Style with a Fall Mix

Vancouver-based producer Sabai is celebrating the release of his new single on Monstercat and the fall season with a dynamic, hour-long mix.

Canada is home to some of the most dynamic artists in the dance music scene, and Sabai proves that point further. Born in Thailand but now residing in Vancouver, he’s carved out a niche for himself with a unique blend of influences that range from future bass and house to pop and R&B. This has led to a growing number of fans and tastemakers alike catching fire with Sabai, including renowned label Monstercat.

Since his debut on Monstercat in 2019 with a remix of Vicetone’s “Feels Like,” he’s delivered a number of amazing tracks on the label. This includes his single “Million Days” with Hoang and Claire Ridgley and his debut EP Where It All Began in 2020, as well as stunners like “Me + You” with Rave New World and “Scared” with Claire Ridgley already this year.

Now, he’s returned to his home on Monstercat after taking the stage at Monstercat Compound earlier this season with a new single dubbed “Falling For You.” This time around, Sabai looked to With Løve and Nevve to bring the track to life, and it’s filled to the brim with beautiful chords and emotional tones that play perfectly with the vocals. “This song is about falling in love with someone again after you’ve been so broken,” he said when asked about the meaning behind the tune, and to celebrate the release, he’s spun up a solid mix to get everyone in the mood for the fall!

Speaking about his approach to mixing, Sabai said, “I like mixing different genres of music in my sets because it keeps the energy interesting throughout. I like to start with house songs to get people in the mood, and later I’ll throw in the future bass and dubstep songs!” That’s just what he’s done with this vibe-fueled ride that will spark a fire in your feet and keep you warm as the temperatures continue to dip.
