Powabunga, Colorado’s premier winter festival, returns to Vail Village this December with Rüfüs Du Sol, Bob Moses, Vintage Culture, and more!
Whoever said the festival season has to come to a close when the snow starts to fly hasn’t heard of Colorado’s favorite winter festival, Powabunga. Set to make its triumphant return to Ford Park in Vail on December 9-12 after being sidelined by the global pandemic last year, Powabunga has pulled out all the stops to deliver an impressive phase one lineup. The boutique winter festival has specialized in only the finest dance music from some of the best names in house to indie dance and beyond.
Almost immediately after being unveiled, Powabunga’s 2021 lineup sent a shockwave through the dance music community across Colorado and around the country. Taking the top spot will be none other than Rüfüs Du Sol, as they continue their global reign over the indie dance realm. The always sensational Bob Moses will be returning to the high alpine locales of Vail after delivering a phenomenal set at Powabunga back in 2019.
Also joining the ranks is global phenom and house music maestro Vintage Culture who has had arguably the biggest glow-up post-pandemic of any artist here in America. Channel Tres has also secured his place among the upper echelon of Powabunga after massive collaborations with the likes of Duke Dumont and Disclosure have placed him firmly in the spotlight. Blossoming Burning Man favorite and Powabunga alumni N2N also lands a spot on phase one with his evocative deep house sound. His masterful remix ability and easily danceable grooves make N2N a must-see at this year’s festival.
Rounding out the initial lineup for Powabunga’s fire is Colorado’s mainstay and multifaceted artist Gavlak. He delivers a passionate dancefloor vibe and uncanny ability to move a crowd to this year’s lineup, and we can’t see what he has in store for us this time around. And be sure not to miss the sensational Julia Sandstrom as she makes her Powabunga debut.
With so much more on the horizon for Powabunga 2021, keep your eyes tuned to their socials for more information lineup additions, and more. Further details on Late night after-parties hosted by Buckhorn Social Club and SkiiHouse are in the works as well to keep the vibes rolling late into the night.
