Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky becomes the latest festival to be cancelled this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage on.
Earlier this year, during the first few weeks of the Coronavirus pandemic, Disco Donnie Presents announced that Ubbi Dubbi Festival would be postponed to the fall and merged with their Halloween event Freaky Deaky. Dubbed Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky, the new dates of the festival seemed far enough away for a chance that it could happen, but as the weeks passed by it seemed less and less likely to take place.
Today, Disco Donnie Presents gave their fans the latest update on the status of Ubbi Dubbi Gets Freaky Deaky to say that the festival has officially been postponed. In their statement that was released on just moments ago, Donnie and his team stated: “Observing the state regulatory environment, and using the best science- & health-based information available to us, we have determined it is unsafe to produce Freaky Deaky as originally planned, given the prolonged and unpredictable state of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Adding to the cancellation announcement, Disco Donnie Presents released the dates for Ubbi Dubbi’s return to Dallas/Forth Worth in 2021 which will now take place on April 24-25. The lineup for the 2021 edition of Ubbi Dubbi will be released on August 24 at 12pm CT.
Those who purchased tickets to Freaky Deaky will automatically be transferred to the new dates for Ubbi Dubbi in the spring, with extras being included such as a merch credit and more. Refunds will be available by request by visiting the link in the post on their website, and all camping passes and shuttle passes for Freaky Deaky 2020 will be automatically refunded in full as well.
Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.
