Hot off the release of their debut single, rising stars and Brooklyn duo ANIMÁL have put together the ultimate weekend playlist!
With summer on the horizon, one of the warm weather releases we’re most excited for comes from Brooklyn-based duo ANIMÁL. Their debut album Flight is due to drop mid-June and ahead of the release, the alt-electro group gifted us with the album’s lead single just last Friday, “Let Me Down.” It certainly did not disappoint, and the track sets an exciting precedent for the album-to-come, as it brilliantly synthesizes electronic and alt-rock elements to create the group’s stunning, layered sound.
The project also features production and mixing by Pluko, who has quickly risen the ranks in the scene and worked with an impressive array of both alternative and electronic artists such as Odesza, Manila Killa, and, most recently, Panama. If their work on “Let Me Down” is any indication, there’s no doubt that his latest collab with ANIMÁL is set to be one of the most exciting projects to date for Pluko and we can’t wait to hear it for ourselves.
Speaking on their debut album, ANIMÁL said, “This album was our way of introducing ANIMÁL to the world by telling a 12-track story front to back. We wanted to give electronic and alt-rock listeners the best of both worlds — something you can dance to and rock out to at the same time. Hopefully, this scratches that itch for a lot of people.”
