Pasquale Rotella took to social media earlier today to give headliners an update regarding the refunds for postponed events hosted by Insomniac.

The past few months have been some of the hardest on the entire world as a whole as the coronavirus pandemic took hold. Millions of people have been affected around the globe who are either battling the virus or have been impacted by the loss of jobs. The live event industry has also scrambled to postpone or outright cancel their shows as large gatherings have been banned. This includes Insomniac Events who has postponed some of their largest festivals like EDC Las Vegas and Beyond Wonderland.

Unlike other event producers who only have a festival or a handful of club shows to reschedule, the sheer volume of Insomniac has presented its own stresses on the refund process. “We’ve had to reschedule hundreds of club shows, concerts, raves, and festivals across the country and around the world.” Pasquale said, “With limited staff working remotely, the verification and refund process has taken longer than I would have liked, and we appreciate all your patience and continued support.”

Pasquale specifically touched on both Beyond Wonderland SoCal and EDC Las Vegas which have both been postponed. The requested refunds for those events are coming soon, with him stating, “For those of you who have requested refunds for Beyond Wonderland SoCal 2020 and have not yet received them, Front Gate will begin processing them by May 7th. For those who have requested a refund for EDC Las Vegas, those refunds will begin processing in about 10 business days. Please bear with us.”

While he also affirmed that the entire Insomniac team is “burning the midnight oil” to process these, he also touched on the massively successful series of livestreams and virtual rave-a-thons that have taken place. This weekend will see Dreamstate host their first livestream, with a virtual edition of EDC Las Vegas taking place later this month as well.

Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.
