Pacha New York has announced that it’s ready to open, with a breathtaking photo and drone footage as receipts.
For a minute there, a lot of us were wondering if Pacha New York was just gonna be Brooklyn Mirage 2: Electric Boogaloo. Little build progress was visible from the street a matter of weeks before its grand opening, but The Pacha Group‘s PR train kept chugging along anyway. It felt eerily similar to Avant Gardner’s self-assured tone leading up to its botched reopening of the superclub occupying the same space more than a year ago.
But Pacha New York is really, truly ready to open — and there’s proof. Ahead of the venue’s June 13-14 grand opening, its team has shared a photo and drone footage of the venue to put any remaining skepticism to rest.
As can be gleaned from the image, Pacha New York is making use of the staggering, 270-degree kinetic video wall that was meant to be The Brooklyn Mirage’s crown jewel after its intended May 2025 reopening. The rest of the space appears relatively empty, allowing for modular builds tailored to the needs of each individual event.
Pacha New York is still flying by the seat of its pants in many respects, to be sure. As recently as Thursday, May 28, the nightclub secured a temporary liquor license while its full application continued being processed.
Writing for BKMAG, Scott Enman attributed this to smooth talking by Kabir Mulchandani, CEO of Pacha Group parent company FIVE Holdings, during what reportedly started out as a tense hearing. But the club will not be allowed to operate 24 hours a day, and its attendance is capped at around 5,300 for outdoor parties and 2,500 for indoor ones, among other conditions.
