HUGEL Announces Debut Album at Coachella

HUGEL invited hip-hop icons like Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, and Ty Dolla $ign on stage at Coachella to help drum up excitement around the announcement.

If you look at a lot of festival lineups — and we do — you’ve noticed the name HUGEL rise in prominence. The timing couldn’t be better for his debut album to drop. During his Coachella performances, the French Latin house talent revealed that it’s slated for release sometime in June.

HUGEL (full name Florent Hugel) took his Make The Girls Dance event concept to the Sahara Stage with a plan to make an impact around the announcement. Over the course of his set during the first weekend, he brought out hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, and Roy Woods. Then, during his weekend two performance, Ty Dolla $ign, French Montana, and Murda Beatz joined him on stage to showcase their upcoming collaborations.

Importantly, HUGEL let loose a slew of unreleased originals and remixes for the large crowds that flocked to his sets, which took place early in the day. While he remained intentionally vague, it’s safe to assume that a fair amount of what he played will appear on the album in June.

Born in Marseille, HUGEL started DJing around the turn of the millennium when he was only 16. He founded Make The Girls Dance Records in 2023, and his career reached new heights in 2025, when he amassed one billion streams throughout the year. His fusion of Afro and Latin house is perhaps best captured in singles like “I Adore You” featuring Daelcom and his and Matt Sassari’s cover of “It Feels So Good” by Sonique.

HUGEL has yet to announce a title, tracklist, or specific release date for his debut album. Keep a close eye on his socials to see further announcements leading up to the drop.
