Booking Agent Info analyzed 889 artists playing events during Miami Music Week 2026 to determine that 66% of them primarily play house music.

We all know house music rules Miami Music Week (MMW), but not to what extent — until now. Booking Agent Info conducted a study with data found in house and elsewhere, estimating that 66% of artists billed at next week’s events primarily play the globally influential dance music genre.

The online music industry directory analyzed 889 artists, factoring in Beatport and SoundCloud listings. Each act was assigned a primary genre and primary subgenre. Following house, techno and bass music tied at 14% each. Trance came in at 2%, breaks and hard dance each at 1%, with another 2% given the “other” category.

As far as subgenres are concerned, tech house dominates at 33%, accounting for half of the artists assigned house as a primary genre. Deep house follows at 13%, with dubstep and riddim coming in at 6%, and minimal/deep tech, hard techno, and electro house claiming 5% each.

Ultra Music Festival billings did not factor into Booking Agent Info’s study. But while the 2026 edition of the three-day gathering boasts over 200 headliners, a large number of them will perform elsewhere during MMW, meaning their exclusion isn’t likely to have swayed the data in a meaningful way.

Miami Music Week formally launched as an organization in 2011, platforming more than 200 sanctioned events annually on its website. The city had previously enjoyed an influx of dance music fans and professionals throughout the same period thanks to events like Winter Music Conference and Ultra.
