After teasing his sophomore album for more than a month, John Summit has finally shared its title and release date with his fervent fan base.
John Summit‘s plan for 2026 was threefold: Announce his first Ibiza residency, deliver an album, and embark on a support tour for the release. Now that his partnership with White Isle “hyperclub” [UNVRS] is public knowledge, he looks to be directing fans’ attention to phase two, sharing that his sophomore album, CTRL ESCAPE, is set for release on Wednesday, April 15.
Keeping the same energy as “LIGHTS GO OUT,” the single he delivered last week, the full effort looks to play on his career as a CPA before dance music occupied his sole focus. John Summit (real name John Schuster) teased the announcement with a video of him working on a ’90s era computer on Tuesday with his yet-to-be-released track, “SHADOWS,” playing in the background. And the newly shared album artwork depicts him sitting in an empty office ceiling panel in tattered workplace attire.
Fans who simply cannot wait until mid-April to hear CTRL ESCAPE will be afforded the opportunity to experience the album debut live at Ultra Music Festival 2026. The gathering runs from March 27-29, but the exact time and date of Schuster’s performance has yet to be announced. Those unable to attend in person can also tune in via the UMF TV livestream.
At this juncture, all Schuster still needs to reveal is the support tour dates for CTRL ESCAPE. As far as announcements go, he’s been on one lately, so it’s safe to say he’ll share the details sometime in the coming weeks.
Pre-save CTRL ESCAPE on Spotify or Apple Music via the John Summit website, where you can also pre-order the album on vinyl with an expected mid-July delivery.
