Prolix Returns to EATBRAIN with Fresh Two-Tracker

A two-track EP from the neurofunk veteran Prolix, the title track, “Take Me Higher,” is true Prolix: dark, gritty, and intense with quality technical skills.

EATBRAIN has been doing it up big for its 15th anniversary in 2026, and it’s still only January. From new releases to label showcases and a variety of events, EATBRAIN is bringing in their dark and dangerous year with an aggressive bang. Of course, DJ, producer, and owner of Trendkill Records, Prolix, had to do something monumental in celebration, so he released a sought-after single. “Take Me Higher” marks his return to the neurofunk label, bringing his no-nonsense, daring style and relentless bass.

“Take Me Higher” is designed to tear dancefloors to pieces. The impeccable sound design and repetitive, melodic vocals break through the gritty, driving bass and distorted sawtooth synths, creating an uplifting yet aggressive song. The second track, “Feel The Bass,” is another straight-up carnage tune. Fast-paced with the ubiquitous screeching synths, it’s raw, unfiltered bass with peak-time energy. Prolix’s attention to detail and diligent technical production shine through both tunes, creating sinister yet precise music.

This two-tracker welcomes back the Prolix fans have come to know and love. Solidifying his place on EATBRAIN and helping ring in the anniversary by releasing a single that everyone’s been anxiously awaiting is just a chef’s kiss and such a baller move for the seasoned DJ. “Take Me Higher” and “Feel The Bass” will wreck your face in addition to dancefloors, so prepare yourself for the absolute annihilation.

“Take Me Higher” is now streaming on Spotify or available for purchase on Beatport. Keep an eye on Prolix’s socials to see what he does next, and on EATBRAIN’s sites to see what other anniversary celebrations they have planned.
