Bassrush Drops the Bass with 13th Volume of ‘The Prophecy’

Bassrush showcases the future of darker, harder drum and bass, featuring artists like TANTRON, PVC, Polar Youth, and OMAS across ten tracks.

Bassrush Records is starting 2026 strong with the next installment of its The Prophecy compilation series. Featuring artists spanning the globe, this release pushes the boundaries of heavy bass genres, from drum and bass to experimental to trap, dubstep, and more. Out now across all platforms, The Prophecy: Vol. 13 is a ten-track look at where bass music is headed.

Known for highlighting established and rising artists across the genre, the Bassrush series features innovative sounds, big bass, and intense drops. International standouts this time include the label debut of Dutch DJ and producer TANTRON. His track, “Reckoning,” features the lyrical prowess of MC Purple Velvet Curtains.

Belgian artist Polar Youth takes a walk on the darker side with “Rage.” A departure from her usual melodic sound, the single hits hard with raw tension, immense bass, and hypnotic vocals.

I was starting to feel boxed in by overly melodic writing. ‘Rage’ came from wanting to strip things back and focus purely on impact: heavy bass, tension, and attitude, without overthinking the prettiness.

Polar Youth

California-based OMAS joins Costa Rican producer BRAINWAVEZ on “MURDA,” a dancefloor annihilator with trap flair that features grimy wubs, gunshots, sirens, and syncopated drums. Also debuting on the label is Wolfie, whose track with Ascension, “Tear Warp,” is a genre-blending anomaly. Weaving through evocative piano keys, glitchy dubstep, and filthy trap, this song is full of intricate rhythms and warping synths.

Masked and mustached duo Proxxxy keep pushing their riddim agenda with “TOUGH GUYS.” It’s minimalistic yet still packed full of chopped bleeps and bloops, along with a heaping helping of crunchy bass.

Through the well-established series, The Prophecy: Vol. 13 continues the tradition of pushing the boundaries of bass music. Whether you like dark, melodic, experimental, riddim, trap, or heavy bass, I guarantee this compilation has something for you.
