Rising artists Sysdemes, ELAC, Ciauru, Avis Vox, The XTTC, Hreez, and more have found a home on the latest volume of mau5trap’s We Are Friends compilation.

Last year saw mau5trap turn the page on a new chapter after the label was acquired by Create Music Group. The deadmau5-founded brand made its mark by dropping some sensational releases from its most beloved members and fresh faces. Now, even more artists have found a home on mau5trap as the label enters its new era by releasing the first disk of its latest volume of We Are Friends.

We Are Friends, Vol. 12 (Disk 1), the first of two, arrives with 15 fantastic tracks from new, future-forward artists who are sure to make a lasting impression on the label’s fans for years to come. Familiar faces like ELAC and Sysdemes are found within the tracklist, along with some new names such as The XTTC, Ciauru, Penultimate, Micha Mendel, Quantaloop, Hreez, Avis Vox, and robinrabauke.

ELAC’s “Sub Terra” and Sysdemes’ “KNAVE” both stand tall on the collection. The former features an oscillating groove that pangs deep in your soul, while the latter offers a more minimal approach with perfectly placed elements you can help but bop your head to. Other tracks you’ll quickly fall in love with are Me & You’s “Acid Love,” Meyer and imallryt’s “Control,” Ciauru’s “Supersonic Electronic (on acid),” and Avis Vox’s “Hide!” Meanwhile, anonymous collaborative project The XTTC also makes its mark with “1 of My Kind,” a driving electro tune with punchy vocals that play straight into its energetic ride.

Those hunting for their next dose of deadmau5’s iconic track “Strobe” will be treated to their latest helping at the end. &friends and Moeaike took the reins on a retake of the track to push it further into melodic house territory. Its chilled-out atmosphere is perfect for the winter days ahead, so make sure to give it a spin.

Listen to the tracks on We Are Friends, Vol. 12 on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from mau5trap by following the brand’s social media channels.
