PROPER NYE/NYD returns to Petco Park for two days of world-class acts. Here’s everything you need to know for San Diego’s biggest New Year’s celebration.
As the year draws to a close, PROPER NYE/NYD 2025 returns to Petco Park for a two-day, city-spanning celebration that has become a defining fixture of San Diego’s New Year’s calendar. Curated by FNGRS CRSSD, the event transforms the downtown stadium into a multi-stage electronic music experience, bringing together artists from across the global dance music spectrum.
More than just a countdown party, PROPER is designed as a full-scale festival — complete with expanded staging, immersive production, and a lineup that reflects the current moment in dance music. With tickets nearly sold out and official after parties extending the celebration into the early hours, PROPER NYE/NYD 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most in-demand ways to ring in the new year on the West Coast.
This year’s lineup spans house, techno, melodic, UK Garage, and even drum and bass, featuring an impressive mix of global headliners, underground favorites, and fast-rising artists. Expanded street closures and a reduced-capacity setup are planned for 2025, aiming to improve crowd flow, comfort, and overall experience throughout the weekend. Below is everything you need to know ahead of the festival, from dates and venue details to afterparties and planning tips.

PROPER NYE/NYD 2025 – Kickoff Week:
FNGRS CRSSD has teamed up with some of their favorite San Diego spots to create Proper-inspired takeovers. These include exclusive bites and drinks, themed fitness classes, CRSSD flash tattoos, and more. Those who attend one of these activations are eligible to win a pair of two-day passes to the festival by visiting the official website and uploading their receipt. Visiting each activation equates to one entry per location.

PROPER NYE/NYD 2025 – Transportation:
Ridesharing is highly encouraged for this event. There are additional parking options in Downtown San Diego, including different lots and structures. For these options, it is recommended that you arrive early and drive responsibly. You can also plan on taking the train; schedule your trip via Amtrak.
Reminder to Mind Your Belongings:
Unfortunately, many recent festival-goers have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define the entire crowd, some opportunistic people attend these events to take advantage of unsuspecting attendees. It’s essential to be mindful of your valuables while at PROPER NYE/NYD.
