Odymel’s debut album — featuring Coach Harrison, 2HOT2PLAY, BOY&GIRL, and more — invites fans to dive into a world where rave nostalgia meets modern techno.
Odymel‘s ENDLESS RECESS hits like a late-night memory you didn’t realize you were still holding onto, rushing back the moment the beat drops.
The Brussels producer’s long-awaited debut album, released via Urban Records/Universal Music Group, stretches across 16 tracks that blur the line between genres, dancefloor immediacy, and emotional storytelling. These aren’t just club records; they’re a world built from rave nostalgia, sweaty moments, and fresh energy.
The album arrives on the heels of a monumental year for Odymel, including sets at Tomorrowland and Hï Ibiza, multiple sold-out ADE shows, and a headline performance at Ancienne Belgique that sold out in hours. Those experiences radiate throughout the project. The record carries the confidence of an artist who has road tested these sounds in front of thousands, personally lived through these nights, and crafted a heartfelt tribute to the music that shaped his journey.
Rather than locking into a single genre, Odymel thrives in the in-between throughout ENDLESS RECESS. Listeners can hear traces of early European rave euphoria, flashes of 2000s French electronic emotion, post-punk grit, and the pulse of modern techno. It’s “a break that never ends, a space where time stops, where worries fade and where music takes over,” shared the artist. “It’s a celebration of the energy shared between friends when the world outside no longer matters.”
Nostalgia is deeply woven into the album, with Odymel threading classic samples into his modern club brainchild. “Refraction” drops a nod to The Notorious B.I.G‘s “Going Back to Cali,” while “Rumble 108” with Fenrick revives a vintage Marc Need loop with fresh energy. Then, “Non Stop” channels Pulsedriver‘s “Samplitude” into a dancefloor-ready moment, and “Rumors” flips Nom De Strip‘s “I Can’t Believe” into a hypnotic, infectious rhythm. Odymel is intentional about the past and present colliding in this debut. He creates a sound that’s both familiar, but also forward-looking.
Dancefloor immediacy also runs throughout the project, but tracks like “Vitamin C“, “Big System,” “The Defendant,” “Fitness,” and “Love Bullet (Parts 1 & 2)” with Durdenhauer really zero in on that energy. With prominent buildups, driving drops, and intentionally layered rhythms, each track commands attention while balancing euphoria and precision. The resulting album is a nonstop immersive journey that keeps listeners moving from start to finish.
While standout tracks such as “It’s Pretty Lovely Out Here” and “Lie to Me, Die With Me” provide rare moments to catch your breath, the album thrives on its collaborative energy. “Fitness” with HARD CANDY, TOXIMAMI, and DJ Cringey snaps with playful mischief, while “Dance With Your Crew” featuring 2HOT2PLAY and Edo keeps the grooves bouncing.
“J’aimerais” featuring Orlane brings in that aforementioned punk grit, weaving in Odymel’s own vocals and guitar for a raw, post-punk detour. “Knowledge Is Power” with Coach Harrison and “The Curse” alongside Maxlion and Ennoia push the album’s edge even further, rounding out a record that balances sonic range and emotional depth.
Across ENDLESS RECESS, tracks flow into each other with subtle continuity rather than rigid structure. There’s tension and release, mischief and melancholy, motion and pause. Even at its most explosive moment, the record never loses its warmth.
With this debut, Odymel doesn’t simply capture rave romanticism and modern techno energy under one terrarium. He proves that memory and movement continue to make for an epic electric combination.
