MOMODA savors the moment in a mesmerizing debut on Berlin’s Get Physical Label with the release of his soulful house EP, Give Me Time.
MOMODA continues to put Nigeria on the proverbial electronic dance world map for his seamless blend of House, Afro, and Techno soundscapes. Bursting on the scene in 2011, drawing promoters and international DJs to the region, the now Barcelona-based DJ and producer ceases to hold back on shouting out his Nigerian roots, which can be felt in the core of his music. His newly released EP, Give Me Time, is a prime example of that driving force.
The Superfekta founder and resident debuts the EP on Berlin’s Get Physical label today, hot off his first EP, Beam Me Up, which was released last year. The debut release on the label is a culmination of MOMODA’s tenacity and captivating ability-a forecast of what’s to expect from his future tracks with the Berlin brand. Both bouncy and soulful, Give Me Time decelerates the clock with its hypnotic beats and piercing chord bursts that build elongated tension through the track’s depth.
The track’s defining feature is its strong female vocals, which add warmth and texture to the groovy groove. MOMODA is slated to release two singles on Get Physical, with this fresh gem followed by Crash For Love, set to drop in January.
