G Jones and EPROM Reunite for Frenetic, Genre-Bending EP, ‘Disk Utility’

G Jones and EPROM deliver a bold and unconventional four-track EP that pushes the boundaries of dance music in ways only they can.

Christmas came early this year! G Jones and EPROM’s collaborative four-track project, Disk Utility, is out now. It’s their first new joint venture of 2025, and the first since their monumental Acid Disk offering.

Disk Utility showcases the duo’s unorthodox approach to experimental bass. Released just two weeks after the debut of lead single, “Slamming Keys,” this EP takes the listener on a journey through glitched-out melodies, warped percussion, and impeccable sound design.

“Slamming Keys” is full of distorted synths; it’s an organized mess of ravey chaos that blends into the head-spinning “Noontime Acid.” Then, we head into the massively glitchy, fractured percussion “1000 Cuts,” while the melodic “By Your Side” rounds out the album. It’s easy to see why these have already made their way into both DJs’ arsenal of tracks.

These four tunes have been doing damage in our DJ sets for a while. We toughened them up and went in on the details for this release with the goal of writing a compact and effective package of tunes that hit hard in the club but still work in headphones and show a range of influences.

EPROM

Much of this EP was debuted live during the duo’s back-to-back set at OSLO in London this year. Piggybacking off of that, they’ll be embarking on an intimate tour with stops in Chicago, San Francisco, Tampa, and St. Louis. In these cities, you can hear the magic of Disk Utility on a loud sound system with the producers behind the glitchiness throwing it down.

G Jones and EPROM are known for delivering a chaotic style of dance music. On their own, they are forces in the bass scene, each pushing forth raw, unabashed bass unlike any other. Together, they are innovative visionaries whose styles play off each other in the most distorted and unfiltered way.

Disk Utility is out now and available to stream on Spotify or your preferred platform. Visit the official tour website to purchase tickets for the live show, and follow their socials to see what they’re up to next.
